Please register in advance for our monthly free events. Often we have handouts, giveaways, or both. Advance registration enables us to have enough for everyone.

CPCUG Inclement Weather Policy--If DC public libraries (including Cleveland Park) are open, E&C SIG can meet. Official DC Government Closures Web page:

If the weather is questionable, and you've registered for an E&C SIG event, you'll get an e-mail message on the morning of the event if it must be postponed.

(between Macomb and Newark Streets)  
Library open 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
 

1st floor large meeting room: Use main entrance on Connecticut Avenue. Go to far right. Meeting room is last door on left before stairs and outside door.  [If our meeting should be moved to the 2nd floor large meeting room, enter the library via its main entrance on Connecticut Avenue, and walk straight ahead to elevator or stairs in the back. Go to 2nd floor. Meeting room is at far left.]

One-half block south of the Cineplex Odeon Uptown movie theatre on Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.

There are many restaurants suitable for pre- or post-event gathering/networking/refreshment in the block north of the library. 

Parking: Very small lot, off Macomb St., to left of library. 

Metrorail--Cleveland Park Station on the Red Line (on Connecticut Avenue, just 1.5 blocks north of meeting site

Cost: Regular third Saturday SIG events are free and open to all. All-day seminars and extra workshops may have a registration and/or materials fees. (Most door prizes are reserved for CPCUG members.


Optional Post-Meeting Gatherings  

Several times a year a smaller group (usually about 8 to 12) goes to Nanny O'Brien's (directly across the street from the Cleveland Park Library at 3319 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 202-686-9189, open noon Saturday to 2 am Sunday) or another local establishment for continued conversation, networking, and refreshment following the meeting. (Participants pay for their own beverages and food.)
