Microsoft Office 2010:
Free and Fee-Based Versions
Speaker: Dennis Courtney, President, CPCUG
Join us as computer guru Dennis Courtney demonstrates the current incarnation of Microsoft Office. He will show us some of the new functionality of the just-released 2010 Office suite and discuss its integration with Microsoft SharePoint. He will also introduce the new free version.
Bring your friends, colleagues, and questions. Learn what new features of Office 2010 you can use and whether a free version will meet your needs.
Speaker: Dennis Courtney is the president of the Capital PC User Group. Over the years he has held many other positions within the organization including that of chair of the Delphi (now the Programmers) SIG.
In his day job Dennis runs the the data center for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). During his 17+ years at IDB, he has also been a programmer for DOS- and Windows-based systems using client-server and Web-based technologies. In addition, Dennis has run a help desk supporting hundreds of end users.
Dennis Courtney has a bachelors degree in business administration.

Optional Post-Meeting Gatherings
Several times a year a smaller group (usually about 8 to 12) goes to Nanny O'Brien's (directly across the street from the library at 3319 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 202-686-9189, open noon Saturday to 2 am Sunday) or another local establishment for continued conversation, networking, and refreshment following the meeting. (Participants pay for their own beverages and food.)
